Folly Beach-based nonprofit Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) is excited to host their 2nd Annual Surf-a-Thon, giving surfers the chance to earn donations for every wave they catch this fall. All donations will go directly towards WSF’s free 12-week program to help them learn the critical life-changing skills of positive psychology, resiliency and strong mental health through surf therapy, yoga and wellness.
You don’t have to be based in Charleston to participate in the fun, nor do you have to surf. From now through November 17th, participants across the country can register online and begin tracking the waves they catch, or miles they walk, run, bike, or any activity of their choosing. WSF encourages everyone to share their personal fundraising pages with friends and family via social media, text and email so they can begin earning donations. All registrants will receive a free WSF t-shirt, and various prizes will be awarded based on the amount of money raised.
