In advance of their impending opening, The Whale is teaming up with their friends at Berkeley's, to host ‘BARK-ley's & The Whale,’ a dog-and family-friendly pop-up event, on September 15th from 5 pm to 9 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their pets for an evening of brews, barks, and brats on the patio.
The celebration will feature a curated beer menu from The Whale, giving locals a taste of what's to come later this summer. Berkeley's menu highlights include a variety of festive hot dogs with plant-based options also available upon request. Guest's furry friends will have the opportunity to enjoy treats from the menu, including ice-cream pup-cups and homemade biscuits. The pop-up event will benefit local animal protection organization, Charleston Animal Society.
Local photographer Paul Cheney will be onsite taking pet portraits for $45 per session. Session times can be pre-booked via @petpeopleportrait on Instagram.
The Whale is a craft beer collective and tasting room opening at 1640 Meeting Street next month. The Whale will feature a selection of rare and highly sought-after beers from around the world, otherwise known as “Whales,” as well as classic staples that have been forgotten throughout time. Owners Jesse Van Note and Andrew Ross carefully source each beer at The Whale, focusing on premium quality and unique history.
Berkeley's is located at 624 1/2 Rutledge Ave.
