The Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic (BIFMC) will join with Dottie’s Pharmacy to host a FREE COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, August 27th for those ages 12 and older. No appointments, insurance, or ID necessary. This free drive-through event will take place from 2 pm to 4:30 pm at Live Oak Church, located at 3407 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island. The event will offer options for Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna.

The FDA today gave full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine. All vaccines are a safe and effective way to prevent death, hospitalization, and severe symptoms of coronavirus.

The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Currently, BIFMC treats over 450 uninsured patients a month, including adults who live or work across the Barrier Islands or who serve downtown Charleston’s hospitality or tourism industry. For more information on free health care eligibility, visit www.bifmc.org.

For the latest COVID-19 vaccine information including additional vaccination sites, please visit the SCDHEC website.

If you would like to make a donation to the clinic or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.bifmc.org.
