HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” Seeking Extras in Beaufort
A local casting agency is currently accepting submissions for those interested in working as paid extras on the second season of The Righteous Gemstones, a HBO show starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, and Adam DeVine. The agency is seeking individuals who will be available to film in Beaufort from August 9th to 13th.
Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is currently seeking people for the following roles:
- 40 Hip Investors/Guest ( L.A. Chic types)
- Ages 20’s -40’s, Needed 2-5 dates
- Several Preppy Kids
- Ages 7-12, Needed 3-5 dates
- Landing Staff (Servers)
- Needed 4- 5 dates
- 10 Construction workers (8/10 Only)
- 5 Security (8/11 only)
- Camera Ops (3 dates)
- 13 Cast Photo Doubles (8/10 only)
Extras selected are required to have two pre-filming COVID tests by production. If fully vaccinated, only one test is required. Those filming will receive an additional $100 ($50 per test) on their filming day voucher for being tested.
Extras selected may also be required to attend a wardrobe fitting prior to filming.
Submission should be sent to TRG2background@gmail.com with heading “BEAUFORT AVAIL.” You should include: 2 Current Cellphone Photos (a close up & a full length), Name, Phone, Age, City/State you reside, Height/Weight, Clothing & Size, Description of visible tattoos & Piercings, Color, Make, Model, Year Vehicle you drive.

The Righteous Gemstones, is a half-hour comedy series created by McBride, who wrote, directed, executive produced, and acted in the show. The entire first season was filmed in the Charleston area. The series tells the story of the world famous Gemstone televangelist family, which has a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
