Charleston-based Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) will host a Veteran-led yoga class for all ages on the USS Yorktown on Saturday, June 26th at Patriots Point, complete with food, drinks and local vendors. All proceeds will benefit WSF's Surf Therapy Program, which provides Veterans, active duty service members, and their families with alternative healing methods for combating PTSD, traumas, and other mental health challenges.
“We're thrilled to have the opportunity to gather with our fellow Veterans on this remarkable, historical vessel for an evening of movement, especially after having to cancel our 2020 event due to the pandemic,” said Warrior Surf Foundation Executive Director Stephanie Dasher. “Our Yoga and Wellness Programs work collectively with our Surf Therapy Program, so we're excited to get the community involved for a full-body flow, and to change lives while doing it.”
Early bird tickets for military service members and Veterans are $49 per person (now through April 30th) and include an all-level yoga class, light bites from Top Shelf catering, refreshments provided by Sea Salt Wines, and five raffle tickets. However, you don't have to be a Veteran or the family member of one to join and support WSF. Regular registration is $59 per person and includes the same. Guests will begin boarding at 6:30 pm for a 7:30 pm start for the yoga class, followed by snacks, drinks, and a raffle winner announced at 9:30 pm.

WSF has served over 500 Veterans to date and their Surf Therapy Program consists of 12 weeks of surf instruction, along with one-on-one wellness coaching and yoga.
