Charleston-based sextet Doom Flamingo today released a new song to remind fans of the “before times,” when we could get out of our houses and experience the carefree feeling of dancing in a crowd surrounded by fun-loving friends and strangers alike. The single, “& Ready To Mingle” is expected to appear on the band’s upcoming Flamingo EP.
“& Ready To Mingle” is dedicated to our single and polyamorous fans eager to return to the live shows we’ve all been anticipating.,” lead singer Kanika Moore said.
“This song to me is a little beacon of hope that we’ll be pushing our way through a crowd again sometime in the near future,” keyboardist Ross Bogan said. “Lord knows we’re all ready at this point. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do, bring on the roaring 20’s 2.0 A lot of lonely disco balls out there, here’s our bat signal.”

Doom Flamingo is made up of Moore, Bogan, bassist Ryan Stasik (of the prolific rock band Umphrey’s McGee), guitarist Thomas Kenney, Stu White on the drums, and saxophonist Mike Quinn.
