Panthers storm back, down Bucs Thursday night

HIGH POINT, N.C. – In a tale of two halves, High Point used a strong finish to overcome Charleston Southern men’s basketball Thursday night taking a 77-73 decision in Big South action from the Millis Center.
Phlandrous Fleming Jr. led all scorers with 26 while grabbing 11 rebounds for a double-double, but High Point (8-10, 6-7 Big South) used a 55-point second half to overcome Charleston Southern (1-16, 0-13 Big South).
John Michael-Wright had 24 to lead the Panthers who had four players in double figures while Melvin Edwards Jr. scored all 10 of his points in the second half for the Bucs.
High Point would go on to close the game on a 17-2 run over the final 3:55 after the Bucs held a 71-60 lead on a Fleming jumper.
