Charleston County’s Public Works Department will begin construction Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 on the Grimball Road Drainage Improvements project. Construction will require closing one lane on Grimball Road across from James Island Elementary School.
- One lane will be closed Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm
- Work is scheduled for December 2nd to December 11th
- Flaggers will direct traffic
- Citizens are asked to be careful while driving through the construction area
The Grimball Road Drainage Improvements project includes the construction of a reinforced concrete pipe under Grimball and South Grimball Roadways. This will help to alleviate flooding issues in this area of James Island.
