Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg and members of City Council will participate in the Grand Reopening of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool, located at 155 Jackson Street, at 11:15 am on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
The pool's upgrades, which totaled $3 million, included a new retractable enclosure, so the 50-meter MLK, Jr. Pool can now be enjoyed by residents year-round. The enclosure was added as part of the city's Phase III Energy Performance Contract with Johnson Controls.
The event will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/CityCharleston.
