7th Annual Mushroom Gathering Scheduled for October 28th

For the seventh straight year, there’s a fungus among us! GrowFood Carolina invites you to celebrate their 7th Annual Mushroom Gathering by stopping at their warehouse on October 28th to pick up special mushroom-themed meals created by some of Charleston’s most popular chefs.  

How it works:
  1. Select one (or more) of the three-course meal options (see below)
  2. Choose your preferred 30 minute pick-up window on Wednesday, October 28th
  3. Come to the warehouse at 990 Morrison during your designated time to get your meals
  4. Take home and enjoy
Each meal is $75, with $25 going to Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice, a pandemic emergency relief fund to support Black-owned restaurants in Charleston.

Foragers Menu

  • Appetizer: Marinated Mushroom Salad
    • Chef BJ Dennis, a personal chef & caterer
  • Entrée: King Trumpet Chili Verde
    • Chef James London from Chubby Fish
  • Dessert: Apple Jax Handpie with Caramel Sauce
    • Chef Tyson Detzler & Chef Vivian Howard from Handy + Hot

Cultivators Menu

  • Appetizer: Mushroom Korma
    • Chef Ty Kotz from Interactive Home Cooking
  • Entrée: Mushroom Pot Pie with Seasonal Vegetables
    • Chef Jason Stanhope & Chef Mike Lata from FIG Restaurant
  • Dessert: Apple Upside Down Cake
    • Chef Cynthia Wong from Life Raft Treats
