Over a year and a half after sustaining major damage from a fire, Madra Rua in Park Circle has finally reopened. The Irish pub opened Tuesday after being closed since February 2019.
Madra Rua is open at 11 am each weekday and at 10 am on Saturdays and Sundays. They said they are following all mask restrictions and social distancing. The tavern is located at 1034 E Montague Ave. in North Charleston.
No injuries were reported in the 2019 fire, but the Red Cross assisted one resident who was displaced because of damage to the adjacent buildings.
