“We are thrilled to launch our Tribute Tuesday sails as a way to give back to the Lowcountry community,” Carole Borden, owner of Palmetto Breeze, said. “While COVID-19 has impacted so many within the local food and beverage industry, we saw this as an opportunity to support those workers by partnering with Pay It Forward Charleston. These efforts will not only put groceries in the hands of families, but help local farmers as well.”
Palmetto Breeze’s Tribute Tuesday Sunset Sails will take place on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months. The sail launches from Shem Creek and features an evening ride along the Charleston Harbor. A portion of the proceeds from this sail will be donated to Pay It Forward Charleston, feeding food and beverage workers in need. Tickets must be purchased in advance online or by calling (843) 886-8133.
The two-hour sail is $35 for adults and $25 for children 12 years and under. The charter is also taking precautions due to COVID-19 with a limit of 50 passengers per sail. Sails board at 100 Church St. in Mount Pleasant, behind Red’s Ice House. Sails include complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. Beer and wine is available for purchase to those 21 and older with a valid photo I.D. The Tribute Tuesday schedule is as follows:
Every Tuesday in June from 7 – 9 pm
Every Tuesday in July from 7 – 9 pm
Every Tuesday in August from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Every Tuesday in Sept. from 6 – 8 pm
