As retail locations start to open around Charleston, Holy City Magic shared that they will be offering magic classes geared toward adults and teens. For those wondering, class sizes will be very small (5 or 6 people max) and they will adhere to all suggested guidelines for social distancing. No set dates have been planned yet.
Each course will consist of five total classes, one night a week for five weeks (mid-week, Tues., Wed. or Thurs.) at night at 6 pm and roughly last an hour and a half. Holy City Magic’s owner Howard Blackwell will be teaching the classes along with other magicians who specialize in different areas.
Classes will focus on topic such as:
- Close-Up Magic (cards, sponge balls, bar magic)
- Cups and Balls/Chop Cups and Rope Magic
- Floating and Levitation
- Showmanship and Show Structure
- and more!
Classes will be working sessions and everyone will not only walk away with magic that they can do on their own, they will also gain a working knowledge to build on and LOTS of resources that will help them grow and develop.
Attendees will also get invitations to attend the monthly Charleston magic club meetings.
The cost for the entire program is $150 per person plus tax, and a $40 equipment fee. If you are interested in taking the class, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list.
