At a press conference on Friday afternoon, Mayor John Tecklenburg elaborated on the city’s COVID-19 response and recovery strategy, which was presented to City Council for their feedback on Thursday night.
The plan calls for three steps: first, shutdown to stop the spread (the current step); then, a strategic reopening to prevent future outbreaks; and finally, fully restoring the economy with added resilience.
