Charleston-based barbecue joint Swig & Swine, led and owned by Pitmaster Anthony DiBernardo, was awarded the Legendary BBQ Restaurant of the Year Award by Certified Angus Beef at their 2019 Annual Conference in Asheville, NC.
“I’m so unbelievably proud of our team at Swig & Swine that we were recognized with the Lengendary BBQ Restaurant of the Year award,” DiBernardo said. “There’s so many hard working Americans who put their life’s work into raising and producing the highest quality beef that it made me rethink what our role and responsibility at Swig & Swine is. We’re the final representation of these hard working Americans’ work when we put it on a plate. So I made it a mission to always cook the product and represent it at Swig & Swine and on the road to the absolute best of our/my ability. So to be recognized for that is special.”
The Annual Conference invites brand partners, including meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle ranchers, to come together to explore merchandising and marketing solutions to satisfy growing consumer demand for high quality beef.
