A new Netflix series currently filming in Charleston is looking for people to work as paid extras on June 26th and June 27th. The production, OBX, needs adults to help film a “midsummer soirée scene” on Kiawah Island.
If you’d like to be an extra, you must be available both days. The production is looking for people to fill the following roles:
- Bluegrass Band
- Midsummer Party Attendee
- Wait Staff
- Security Guys
- Attendee with luxury vehicle

The show, billed as a coming-of-age drama set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, follows four teenagers stuck in a fictional town after a hurricane cuts off all power and communication to the islands. Wilmington resident Jonas Pate will serve as writer and director for the show. Netflix has reportedly picked up 10 episodes of the series.
