The Charleston Forum, an annual event involving discussions on race across many different topics, was held on Sunday at the Charleston Music Hall. The evening ended with a discussion between Rev. Eric Manning of Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church and Rabbi Jeffrey Myers of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Their chat was moderated by TODAY’S Craig Melvin, who is a native of Columbia.
Off stage, the trio filmed a segment for TODAY, which you can watch below. Rev. Manning and Rabbi Myers have become friends after the former reached out following the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
