Complete Guide to New Year’s Eve 2019 in Charleston

It’s almost time to pop the champagne, say “goodbye” to 2018, and welcome ’19! As usual, Charleston has plenty of parties and events for you to choose from. To help pick the best option for you, I’ve compiled a list of the Holy City’s New Year’s Eve Parties!

    • Open Bar & Buffet 10 pm to 2am
    • Live DJ and Dance Floor
    • Massive Balloon Drop
    • Champagne Toast at Midnight
    • Countdown of the Ball Drop

    • Must be 21+ with a valid ID
  • The Alley
    • “Charleston’s Most Affordable All-Inclusive New Year’s Eve Party”
    • General Admission Tickets ($85) includes:
      • Beats from DJ Phamtastik
      • Beer, Wine & Spirits
      • Champagne Toast
      • Light Hors D’oeuvres
      • Photo Booth
      • Silent Disco
      • Free Bowling
      • Free Arcade Games
    • 4 VIP Lanes ($750 per lane) that allow six people per lane to enjoy will also be available and include:
      • Private bowling lane
      • Personal server (no waiting for drinks)
      • Premium Beer, Wine & Spirits
      • Heavy Hors D’oeuvres
      • Complimentary bottle of champagne
    • Dress code is cocktail attire, and the event is 21+ only
  • Bay St Biergarten
  • The Brick
    • “Sing In The New Year” Karaoke/dance party with DJ Mikey Lee
    • Free admission
    • Drink specials and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight
    • Guests can reserve all-inclusive tables (6 person minimum/10 person maximum), which includes:
      • Personal Server / No Waiting At Bar
      • All Inclusive Premium Open Bar
      • Appetizers
      • Priority For Karaoke

    • Dress code: Dress up or dress down, it doesn’t matter as long as you want to have fun
    • The party is 21+ to attend
  • The Cocktail Club
    • Drink specials and live music by David Higgins
    • No tickets required
  • The Cedar Room
    • All-inclusive tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, full open bar, a midnight champagne toast and live music by Kerwin L. Felix Band and DJ YNOT
    • Attire is black tie optional
    • Doors open at 8:30 pm
    • 21 and over only
    • Tickets can be purchased here for $150
  • Joséphine Wine Bar
    • Variety of menu specials
      • Filet mignon, shrimp cocktail, and blinis with caviar and crème fraiche, in addition to the regular dinner menu
    • A luxe champagne flight for $35
      • Guests who order the flight will enjoy Pierre Paillard Grand Cru Rosé, Michel Maillard Brut Cuvée and Tissier Brut, all varieties that are normally unavailable by the glass
    • Anyone who orders a champagne flight on New Year’s Eve will be entered to win a bottle of Krug Grand Cuvée, a more than $200 value
    • Joséphine will be open 4:30 to 11 pm, and tables will be available by walk-in and via RESY.
  • Red’s Ice House and Tavern & Table
    • “New Year’s Eve on the Creek”
    • An all-inclusive celebration featuring:
      • Cocktails, beer & wine, champagne
      • Free party favors
      • Huge fireworks show
      • Live music at Red’s
      • A DJ dance party at Tavern & Table
    • Two different ticket options:
      • General Admission – includes all of Red’s and outside of Tavern & Table
      • VIP – includes all of Red’s, all of Tavern & Table, and premium food and beverages
      • Tickets available here or at Tavern & Table
    • This is a 21+ event
  • Rusty Bull
    • The North Charleston brewery is hosting their “come as you are New Year’s Eve party, Blue Collar Bash: No Cover Charge, No Dress Code, No Problem”
    • Live funk, blues, pop, and rock music from Morpheus
    • New beer Release (a raspberry porter called Darth Narwhal)
    • A free beer toast at midnight
    • Every beer on tap available for just $5 all night long
    • Chance to win a $100 gift card
    • Blade and Bull (6 pm to 12 am) will be there and offering up $10 all-you-can-throw ax throwing and a 16 person bracket-style tournament for a shot at a custom ax engraved with the Rusty Bull & Blade & Bull logos
    • Caribbean Soul food truck will be serving up food from 8 pm tot midnight
  • Tabbuli
    • “Ciroc ‘N’ New Year’s”
    • General admission = $25; VIP = $100
      • Includes drag performances and giveaways
  • Toast of Mount Pleasant
    • “Rockin’ New Year’s”
    • General admission = $60
      • Includes open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, champagne toast and music by Jared Wood & Corey Stuart
  • The Washout
    • New Years with Plane Jane
    • Plane Jane’s last performance ever
    • Complimentary food and drinks
