Condé Nast Traveler announced the results of its 31st annual Readers’ Choice Awards this week. Readers voted Charleston as their favorite small city in the U.S. for the eighth year in a row. Zero George Hotel is featured as one of the Best Hotels in Charleston, and the hotel is honored to be voted onto this coveted list for the fifth year in a row.
“We are passionate about offering our guests an authentic and exclusively curated Charleston experience with personalized service during a stay with us at Zero George. We appreciate that readers have recognized us with this prestigious award again this year and are proud of our full team whose dedication and passion shines in the guest experience,” says Dean Andrews, co-founder and CEO of Easton Porter Group.

Named after its historic 1804 street address, Zero George is comprised of 16 lush guest rooms and studios in three immaculately restored historic residences and two brick carriage houses that surround a private garden courtyard. The boutique property – owned by the prestigious Easton Porter Group – features sophisticated guest amenities including custom bicycles by Pure City Cycles, art and architecture tours, Chef-led cooking classes, contemporary art, original heart pine floors and sophisticated design drawn from Charleston’s European influences and rich history as a colonial port.
Hotel guests and visitors alike can take advantage of the acclaimed contemporary American cuisine at Zero Restaurant + Bar, helmed by Executive Chef Vinson Petrillo, a former S. Pellegrino Young Chef award recipient. Prepared in a compact, 140-square-foot kitchen within the property’s kitchen carriage house dating back to 1804, dishes are seasonally focused and ingredient-driven resulting in an imaginative and memorable dining experience.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”
The 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards are published exclusively on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue on newsstands nationwide on October 16.
