The 12th annual Hootie’s Homegrown Roundup, an event held in conjunction with Hootie & the Blowfish’s HomeGrown concerts, will be ready to provide services and back-to-school supplies for 1,000 students in Charleston County School District (CCSD) on Saturday, August 11th at 10 am at Burke High School. Services and supplies like haircuts, dental exams, eye exams, backpacks, notebooks, and pencils, are donated by the band and various local community businesses.
This year, the Roundup will serve the needs of the following schools: A.C. Corcoran Elementary, Charleston Progressive Academy, E.B. Ellington Elementary, Hunley Park Elementary, Jane Edwards Elementary, Malcolm C. Hursey Elementary, Matilda F. Dunston Primary, Meeting Street at Brentwood, Memminger Elementary, Springfield Elementary, and St. James-Santee Elementary-Middle.
