Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination Hotel, is the ultimate family vacation destination, home to spectacular golf courses, restaurants, Lowcountry adventure activities and unique kid-friendly experiences like its new Dune Bug Clubs for kids. This month, the resort becomes even more family-friendly, as well as eco-friendly, with its new partnership with the South Carolina Aquarium. To help ensure that sea turtles have a future in our oceans, Wild Dunes Resort is offering guests its new SC Aquarium Family Sea Turtle Package, benefitting the SC Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Care Center, which supports the rehabilitation of injured sea turtles.
The SC Aquarium Family Sea Turtle Package is available through September and starts at $249/night, based on quad-occupancy, including:
- Two-night accommodations at the AAA Four-Diamond Rated Boardwalk Inn, Village at Wild Dunes or select vacation homes and condos
- Two Tipsy Turtle Drink Vouchers at Beachside Burgers
- Four tickets to the SC Aquarium
- $50 Uber Gift Card for Aquarium Transportation
- Sea Turtle Welcome Amenity- Bag & Sticker, Plush Duney and $10 donation
Groups staying on property can also take advantage of unique offerings at the SC Aquarium ranging from after-hours cocktail receptions to private guided tours to hands-on animal encounters.
In addition to offering the SC Aquarium Family Sea Turtle Package, Wild Dunes Resort is also partnering with the SC Aquarium by going strawless in all its restaurants and bars, providing “Sea Turtle Safe’ beach signage at the Grand Pavilion, hosting weekly “Green Team” beach sweeps and sponsoring the IOP Turtle Trek taking place on September 29.
All seven species of sea turtles are listed as threatened or endangered. Wild Dunes Resort’s partnership with the South Carolina Aquarium works to eliminate that threat and keep Charleston’s beaches “sea life safe.”
