After seven years of growth attributed to local support, Verde has been using what it knows best – healthy salads and wraps – to give back to community causes.
First, the restaurant kicked off 2018 with the launch of “A Cherrytable Heart” seasonal salad, in partnership with American Heart Association (AHA). The salad includes heart-healthy cherries, fresh pears, leafy greens and almonds. One dollar from each bowl is donated to the local chapter of the American Heart Association. The salad will be available at all four local Verde locations through the end of February.
Second, Verde launched community fitness studio spotlights. The restaurant is hosting a donation-based “Healthy Heart Beets” class at HYLO Fitness, benefitting AHA’s “Go Red for Women” campaign in February. This class will take place at the HYLO’s 880 Allbritton Blvd location on February 17th, held in partnership with fellow local business, Healthy Human.
