Earth Heart Growers (EHG), a non-profit organization that helps students understand the importance of sustainability practices, will host a fundraising event on Sunday, May 21st at Chico Feo. Admission is a suggested donation of $5.
Attendees can learn more about the organization, participate in a silent auction, purchase food and drinks, and more.
EHG works to implement, improve, and sustain high-resource gardens for Charleston County Schools. They teach children about gardening, cooking, baking, developing a healthy eating life, and creating habits that help to improve the environment. EHG also connects the Charleston School District, Montessori Middle schools, and families with local organic farms by offering an in-school produce delivery program (CSA).
In addition, EHG has adolescents from different area schools meet and work together at Joseph Fields Farm in Johns Island.
The nonprofit is still looking for donations for their silent auction. Volunteers and vendors that would like to participate and support EHG that day are welcome. For more information, e-mail:
email@example.com or call 843-906-6084.
The fundraising event will run from 4 pm to 8 pm. Chico Feo is located at 122 East Ashley Ave. in Folly Beach.
