Cinco de Mayo is just over a week away, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate! Whether you want to be seen out-and-about or you just want to relax at home, Ancho Reyes Verde and Milagro Tequila has you covered.
On Friday, May 5th, King Street bar Proof will offer patrons the Margarita Tradicional cocktail for $10. The drink includes Milagro Silver, Cointreu, and lime.
If you are staying home, but still want to enjoy a festive cocktail, you can make a Spicy Verde Margarita featuring Ancho Reyes Verde and Milagro Tequila. Scott Baird of Bon Vivants created the following recipe:
The Spicy Verde Margarita
- 1 part Ancho Reyes Verde
- 1 part Milagro Silver Tequila
- ½ part Agave Nectar
- 1 part Fresh Lime Juice
- Method: Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of an old fashioned glass, salt it and set aside. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake and double strain over fresh ice into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
