The North Charleston Business Expo, a business-to-business event, is set to showcase 175 area companies and organizations on Thursday, March 23rd from 1 pm to 4:30 pm at the Charleston Area Convention Center. The event is free of charge for all attendees.
Now in its third year, the annual Business Expo offers the business community, from small business entrepreneurs to executives, an opportunity to network with local professionals, engage with exhibitors, and discover resources for business growth.
In addition to the 175 showcased businesses, procurement departments from nearly twenty government agencies will be assembled for concentrated access to purchasing agents. Small business owners will have the opportunity to showcase their goods and services to many local, state, and federal government contracting agencies, as well as seek advice from several specialized small business resource agencies.
A few of the participants include: SPAWAR, US Department of the Interior, US General Services Administration, Charleston County Government, Charleston County School District, Charleston Water System, and more.
New to this year’s Business Expo, the Charleston Regional Business Journal will host Mayors Keith Summey, John Tecklenburg, Linda Page, and Wiley Johnson for an open panel discussion to kick off the Expo. This luncheon will also include keynote speaker Anita Zucker, Chair of the Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative and CEO of The Intertech Group. The event is scheduled from 11:30 am to 1 pm and registration is required.
A networking reception will immediately follow the Business Expo.
