This past Thursday, downtown sports bar The Alley suffered the loss of one of their chefs, Whitney Jordan, who died after an apparent hit-and-run. The team decided to honor her by hosting a celebration of life today from 5 pm until 8 pm.
They’ll have 16-ounce PBRs (Whitney’s favorite beer) available for $2 and the bowling lanes will be open. In fact, all bowling revenues will go to her family. You can donate directly to the family via this website. The money will be used not only for “necessary expenses, but also in establishment of future memorial funds/scholarships created in (Whitney’s) honor.”
Normal kitchen service will not be available in honor of Whitney.
The celebration of life is open to the public. Click here for more information.
Anyone with information on the accident should contact Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111 or Consolidated Dispatch at (843) 743-7200.
