The unique competition, which began on Sunday and will continue through Saturday, July 25th, involves patrons locating eight of the city’s Bastion markers. One of those markers was recently recovered and has taken up residence outside of restaurant.
These bronze 17th century plaques denote where fort-like walls surrounded Charleston from the 1690s to the 1730s, when there where multiple threats to the young colony.
To earn a free signature refresher, guests are encouraged to take a photo of themselves holding up the official “Bastion Crawl” sign at each of the eight Bastion marker locations and post to Instagram/Facebook tagging #BastionCrawl and @ToastofCharleston. Once the patrons show their Toast! server the photos, they will be rewarded with a drink. The deal can be redeemed anytime through July 25th (valued up to $7).
Maps can be picked up at the restaurant, along with the official “Bastion Crawl” sign. For more information on Toast!, visit www.toastofcharleston.com or call 843.534.0043
