It may only be in its second year, but Charleston Beer Week is already getting attention outside of the Holy City. The biggest social networking service dedicated to the fine art of beer drinking is honoring the event with its own app tie-in.
Untappd, the aforementioned social networking application, allows its users to “check in to” beers as they drink them, rate beers, share their locations with friends, and more. The company has teamed up with Charleston Beer Week to offer a brand new “badge” that users of the application can earn during the festivities. You can see the badge over on the left.
The “Charleston Beer Week (2014)” badge can be unlocked by checking in to any beer at two participating venues. Just be sure you add the participating venue to your check-in, otherwise it will not count. iPhone users can download the Untappd app here.
