UPDATE, 8/2/13: According to their Facebook page, the folks at Vickery’s will be back in business today.
In case you didn’t hear: a small fire at Vickery’s on Saturday night forced the restaurant to shut-down for most of the week. Thankfully, the blaze didn’t do that much damage and the Shem Creek mainstay plans to re-open tomorrow.
Here’s what they had to say on Facebook:
As some of you may know, we had a small fire here at Vickery’s on Shem Creek Saturday night. No one was injured, and it was a minor fire. We are in the process of cleaning up and doing some repairs and construction, but we hope to be re-opening Friday night for happy Hour with a limited menu. As all of you probably know, this is a hurry up and wait process, filled with re-inspections and certifications, etc., involving many separate companies and people. We will do our best to get re-opened as soon as possible
