If you think you’re miserable walking around Charleston in this summer heat, imagine those poor saps who wandered the streets during the Civil War era. Or, better yet, take a stroll in their clothes.
The Charleston Museum is offering visitors the unique opportunity to try on 19th century wardrobe this Saturday. Dresses, men’s jackets, hats, bonnets, fans, and more will be available for patrons to wear. Photos will be available for you to take home, but you can bring your own camera as well.
