I attended the Charleston Runs for Boston 5k yesterday morning and took a few pictures of the event, which you can see below.
Hundreds of people were in attendance and the atmosphere was one of celebration, not sorrow. Runners were in such great spirits, they even hung around after they were done to cheer for every single runner that finished after them.
The loudest cheers were saved for two runners who were unable to finish last week’s Boston Marathon due to the bombing. It was certainly an inspiring scene.
The group capped off the day by chanting “Boston!” to show their solidarity with the city.
