***UPDATE, 3/5/13*** – Live 5 News has video of the auditions, which can be seen below
It’s not quite the same as auditioning for The X Factor, but it’s still a great opportunity for area singers. The Charleston RiverDogs will host auditions for those wishing to perform the “Star Spangled Banner” on Tuesday, March 5th beginning at 4 pm behind home plate at Riley Park (rain date is slated for Wednesday, March 6th).
Whether you are a vocalist or can play the National Anthem with an instrument, you are welcome to audition. It will be open to performers of all kinds and ensembles of nine or less. Groups of 10 or more are asked to partake in the RiverDogs Group Anthem Program.
If you have performed at a past game or had been on the approved singer list (chosen but unable to perform for whatever reason), you do not need to re-audition but should indicate as such on the application form that is available here. Forms must be filled out and submitted prior to the audition day.
