While one local team is starting its playoff push (South Carolina Stingrays), two others are about to start their respective seasons. The Charleston Riverdogs are up first, with the Charleston Battery on deck.
The Riverdogs start their 2012 season with a long homestand running tomorrow (Thursday) through the 11th. The first game is against the Rome Braves and features the ever-popular “Thirsty Thursday” festivities. Saturday’s game should also be a highlight as Former Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Tim Hudson is scheduled to make a rehab start for Rome.
The Charleston Battery will start their 20th Anniversary with a bang…literally. Fireworks will follow the team’s home-opener against the Richmond Kickers.
