Michael B. Moore, a Democrat running for the U.S. House of Representatives in South Carolina's 1st congressional district, announced today that his campaign raised $117,253 in the fourth quarter of 2023, bringing his end-of-year fundraising total to $460,318. He also reported $105,636 cash on hand.
In the fourth quarter, the campaign added 1,382 new contributions from 985 individual donors, with an average contribution amount of $86.80. Of those fourth-quarter donors, 788 (or 80 percent) were first-time contributors to the campaign.
Furthermore, the campaign's number of new contributions more than doubled from the third quarter to the fourth quarter (674 to 1,382), and its number of individual donors increased by a similar margin (507 to 985).
"These latest fundraising numbers are emblematic of the enthusiasm surrounding our campaign and the growing support for our grassroots movement here in SC-01," said Moore. "Entering election year, we're confident that we have the resources and resolve needed to defeat Nancy Mace, who remains weaker than ever. We plan to keep on sharing our hopeful vision for the future of this swing district. And come November, we're going to restore honest leadership, commonsense solutions, and Lowcountry values to Congress."
