Michael B. Moore, a Democrat running for the U.S. House of Representatives in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District, today announced the launch of "Women for Moore," a coalition of women throughout the Lowcountry who are supporting his campaign.
"Women for Moore" members will celebrate the group's launch with an event in Charleston on April 30th, featuring remarks from female elected officials, community leaders, and Lowcountry residents who have endorsed Moore's candidacy. Additional events are being organized across the district by supporters.
"Reproductive freedom is at the forefront of our fight for SC-01," Moore said. "Extreme Republicans like Nancy Mace and Catherine Templeton want to restrict women's personal liberties — but not me. I believe a woman's health care decisions belong between her and her doctor, full stop. I also support women's right to grow their families with the help of fertility treatments. In Congress, I'll fight to enshrine reproductive freedom, defend abortion rights, and protect access to IVF."
