LawnStarter, a lawn care services company, released a report on 2024’s Most Hurricane-Vulnerable Counties and they ranked Charleston County as being the 3rd Most Hurricane-Vulnerable.
To come up with the ranking, the website considered hurricane risk assessments and anticipated financial loss from hurricanes according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). They also included the past 10 years of historical storm data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and access to national disaster debris recovery facilities.
