Charleston Pakistani restaurant, Malika, says they are excited to show love for their South Asian community at this year’s Indian Association of Greater Charleston (IAGC) Cricket Tournament on May 11th and 12th in Summerville.
Guests can enjoy Chicken Tikka Masala and Lahori Cholay (curried chickpeas with onions, cilantro and basmati rice) from Malika’s Chef and Co-Owner Maryam Ghaznavi while watching cricket teams compete.
“The connection between Pakistani and Indian heritage has always been strong,” said Malika’s Co-Owner and Creative Director Raheel Gauba. “We’re proud to support our local South Asian community and look forward to celebrating the great aspects that bring us together over the two countries’ favorite sport, cricket.”
Cricket players can inquire about registering a team here or by calling IAGC at (843) 303-6577.
The IAGC is a local non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organization incorporated in 1984 with a mission to improve the understanding of the culture and heritage of India in the U.S.
