About Michael Drohan
Michael was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004, recently hitting his 20 year anniversary. He doesn’t pretend to speak for anyone other than himself, and does not want to be your inspiration, but nevertheless loves to share what his life experience has been through a unique lens. Lately, he has thought about how disability and adversity influences self identity, and also the importance of accessibility in our world for everyone.
Michael moved to Charleston in 2016 from Washington, DC, drawn by family ties and a city punching above its weight class in culture and creativity, particularly the Food & Bev and music scenes. He cites the people he’s met (including his lovely wife) and the strong sense of community as why he still loves it. Although he doesn’t play music himself, he loves to talk bands new and old, plus regularly attend shows around town. He’s honored that two of his friends in the local scene, DJ 2 Slices and Keon Masters, are set to join him for this event.
