Camp Happy Days (CHD) will host a special event at 7 pm on Thursday, February 16th to benefit children battling cancer and their families. “Corks For Kids,” an evening filled with wine, hors d'oeuvres, music, and Lowcountry art, will take place at the Cooper River Room in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.
While being serenaded by jazz music, guests can bid on a number of fine art pieces donated by local artists. Pieces include work by: Alicia Colella, Sarah Dowling, Phyllis Leventis, Anne Darby Parker, Elizabeth Ann Bradley, Ginny Versteegen, Jennifer Black, Lorrie Merryman, Mila Garro, Becky Taylor, and Deborah Palmer.
CHD's purpose is to provide free year-round programs, services and support to children battling cancer and their families. All proceeds from the event will directly go to CHD so that they can continue to provide aid and resources to these young and deserving beneficiaries.
Tickets for “Corks for Kids” are $125 per person. For additional details on Corks for Kids or to become a sponsor, head to to www.camphappydays.org/corks-for-kids/
