On Wednesday, September 16th, six local breweries will join together for “She’s Crafty,” a Charleston Beer Week event benefiting the Center for Women. The shindig will be held at the Craftsman Kitchen and Tap House from 6 pm until 9 pm.
During the event, Tradesman Brewing, Frothy Beard Brewing, Holy City Brewing, Fat Pig Brewing, Freehouse Brewing, Revelry Brewing, and Greenville’s Quest Brewing will all show off some new brews. The specialty beers will all be brewed by women through a fledgling program called “Brewster.” Historically, “Brewster” was the name for a female brewer.
One dollar from every beer sold will be donated to the Center For Women, an organization focused on helping women succeed in their personal and professional lives.
The event will be open to the public and free to attend. Details can be found online.
Any ladies that would like to participate in future “Brewster” brew days can reach out to sg@tradesmanbrewing.com, macey@frothybeard.com, or julie@holycitybrewing.com. These local breweries will attempt to host brew days each quarter for different women's causes.
