Two local businesses are included in Imbibe Magazine’s list of “75 People, Places, and Flavors that will shape the way you drink in 2014.” King Street’s High Wire Distilling Co. and newcomer Edmund’s Oast were the entities honored by the publication’s second annual list.

The magazine’s profile of Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall details how the High Wire owners have distanced themselves by making bolder and more innovative choices than the country’s older and more established distilleries.

The soon-to-be-opened Edmund’s Oast is listed as one of the places to watch this year. The restaurant-brewery hybrid is expected to open later this month.

The issue of Imbibe Magazine featuring these local businesses is currently on newsstands.
