The Alley has been supporting education-related charities and organizations since they opened, so it’s fitting that with the new school year just on the horizon, the business has set up an event spotlighting a local mentor group.
The Alley will team with Be a Mentor, a local organization that matches children in need with caring mentors, for the first annual “So You Thought You Could Spell Spelling Bee.” The event is FREE and will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 7 pm.
Some local celebrities and community leaders will participate in a live spelling bee that’s modeled after the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Writer and blogger Bryce Donovan will host the event.
